WHAT IS THE PNYA?
·        The Post New York Alliance (PNYA) is an association of film and television post production facilities and labor unions operating in New York. PNYA members coalesced around the belief that a unified industry presents the post production community better opportunity to develop and promote public policy that benefits the film and television industry as a whole.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT MEMBERSHIP LEVELS?
·
       We have four different membership levels.
       
Company Platinum Membership - for companies with 6 or more employees
        Company Gold Membership - for Companies with 5 or less employees
       
Individual Membership - for freelance individuals
        Sponsored Membership - for junior level individuals new to the film industry


WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP COSTS AND BENEFITS?

HOW DO I JOIN?
·        It is easy to Join. Just click on JOIN in the upper right corner of the website to see all the costs and benefits. Or click HERE
·        Scroll down tot he bottom of the page and select your membership level and click on CONTINUE
·        Follow the rest of the instructions.

 
HOW DO I PAY?
·        Once you go through the registration process, you will be asked to pay for your memeberhsip by credit card.
·        We strongly recommend that members pay by credit card. However, you have the option to choose to be billed.
·        If you pay by credit card, your membership will be reviewed and then likely approved within 2-3 days. and activated.
·        If you pay by check, your membership will also be reviewed within 2 - 3 days. However, you membership will not be activated until the check is received and deposited. You may not attend events until payment is received. Again, we strongly recomemned that everyone pay by credit card. Agian, we strongly here you will see a drop down menu. Select the specific type of invoice you want to view or select Any Status.

IS MEMBERSHIP APPROVED RIGHT AWAY?
·        Log into the website in the upper right corner
·        Click on Manage Profile in the upper right corner
·        Click on Membership.
·        There you will see your expiration date as well as a list of past and open invoices.

I AM AN INDIVIDUAL - HOW WILL I BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
·        Most members have been automatically enrolled in Auto-Bill. You will automatically be charged for you another year of membership on your current expiration date.

I AM A COMPANY - HOW WILL I BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
·      
Log into the website in the upper right corner

·       Click on Manage Profile in the upper right corner
·       Click on Invoices
·       On the dropdown menu click on Open (Awaiting Auto-Bill)
·       Click on the Red X next to the invoice. In doing so you will not be automatically billed. We will then send you an invoice for you to pay with a credit card or check.

I AM A COMPANY - WILL MY EMPLOYEES GET MEMBERSHIPS TOO?
·      
YES! Company Platinum Members are given eight employee membership with heir company membership. Company Gold Members are given 3 employee membership with your company members

WILL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
·      
NO! When you complete your personal information you have the option to hide everything form public view. However if you want your email or your phone number public so anyone searching the site who is looking in your field can contac tyou, you may make it public.

WILL I BE ABLE TO BE EMAIL OTHER MEMBERS?
·      
YES! Once you log in, you will be able to email other members. We have an internal email system. We NEVER give out anyone's email address. If oyu email another memeber, they will receive an email form teh PNYA website telling them tha tthey have a website waiting for them.  Company Platinum Members are given eight employee membership with heir company membership. DO YOU HAVE A CALENDAR OF EVENTS?

·        YES! Scroll down to the bottom of any page on the website and you will see our calendar. This shows our next four events. To see all of the events currently scheduled, click on MORE for an expanded view. Please note events are constantly added to the calendar.

HOW AR EMEMBERS NOTIFIED ABOUT EVENTS?
·        We send our emails to the entire membership when a new event is coming up. ! Scroll down to the bottom of any page on the website and you will see our calendar. This shows our next four events. To see all of the events currently scheduled, click on MORE for an expanded view. Please note events are constantly added to the calendar.

·        Click on Manage Profile in the upper right corner
·        Scroll to the bottom of the page
·        Click on Career Postings
·        Click on Subscribe
·        To receive an email alert when a new opening is posted, select the categories to which you would like to subscribe.
·        Click Save My Preferences
·        Then you will receive an email when a job is posted in one of those categories

HOW DO I UPLOAD MY RESUME?

·        Log into the website in the upper right corner

·        Click on Manage Profile in the upper right corner
·       
Scroll to the bottom of the page
·        Click on Resume/CV
·        You can simply fill in the HEADLINE and select a PRIMARY CATEGORY
·        Skip the other lines
·        At the bottom of the page click on I want to attach a document after submitting my Resumé/CV
·        Click on Submit My Resume/CV
·        On the next page upload your own resume
·        (If you fill out all of the other fields on the page prior you will be completing the website’s resume template. You can complete those fields but we strongly suggest that you also upload a PDF of  your own resume)


AS A COMPANY MEMBER, HOW DO I ADD EMPLOYEE MEMBERSHIPS?

·        Log into the website under your company's membership in the upper right corner

·       
Click on Manage Profile in the upper right corner

·        Click on Employees
·       
In the invitation box, type in the email addresses of those employee to whom you want to give memberships.
·        They will be sent an email on how to set up an account.
·        Gold Memberships receive 3 employee membership. Platinum memberships receive 8 employee memberships.
