<p>Following two sessions devoted to picture, Post Break, the webinar series from Post New York Alliance (PNYA), turned its attention to sound in the third and final installment in its series on editorial turnover. Harbor Picture Company Sound Editor Dan
    Timmons and award-winning Sound Supervisor Roman Chimienti who joined moderator Ben Baker for an in-depth discussion of sound post-production and offer advice for assistant editors on how to guide projects through the final mix.</p>
<p>The event took place on Thursday, March 17th at 4:00 EDT. Turnover to Sound | Part III, provided assistant editors with the information they need to nail this crucial phase in post-production. It’s a not-to-be-missed session for anyone aspiring to work
    on motion picture or television projects in a New York editorial department. </p>

    his work on Going Clear: Scientology &amp; the Prison of Belief and What Happened, Miss Simone? His credits also include the HBO long-form documentary Forever Prisoner, which made extensive use of archival media, and Hale County This Morning, This Evening.
    Timmons is an expert in Dolby Atmos sound design and edits originating in both Avid and Adobe Premiere. He offers insight into the crossover between Avid and Pro Tools, as well as working remotely in sound with producers and directors. <br /><br /><strong>Roman Chimienti </strong>is
    an award-winning sound designer, editor and mixer based in New York City. Experienced in post-production sound for entertainment and advertising, he has handled sound design, editorial and mixing for commercials, branded content, documentaries, television
    series, shorts and features. His credits include the acclaimed documentaries Wrinkles the Clown and Madonna and the Breakfast Club, as well as the Shudder Network exclusives Lucky and Drop Dead Gorgeous. He also produced and directed Scream, Queen!
    My Nightmare on Elm Street, a 2020 feature documentary that received several awards and nominations.</p>

<p>Post Break, the webinar series from Post New York Alliance (PNYA), presented second in its three-part series on Turnover as a panel of visual effects experts discussed best practices in managing VFX material from editorial through post-production and
    delivery. Designed for assistant editors, this session included a wealth of information essential for anyone involved in the complex process of coordinating media deliveries between VFX vendors, editors and post houses.</p>
<p>Took place on Thursday, March 10th at 4:00 EST. Mechanism Digital president Lucien Harriot and VFX editors Kent Blocher, Christian Kelley-Madera and Alec Styborski joined moderator Ben Baker in offering practical advice for keeping VFX projects organized
    and on track in a variety of workflows. It was a rare opportunity to learn from pros who have been in the trenches on scores of high-profile motion picture and streaming productions.</p>

    delivery. A fast thinker and problem solver, Harriot is comfortable leading teams of technical artists at the studio or supervising crews on the sets of feature films.<strong><br /><br />Kent Blocher </strong>is a New York City-based VFX Editor who
    has been involved in editorial since 1989. His VFX projects include Jarhead with Sam Mendes; Black Swan, Noah and Mother! with Darren Aronofsky; The Bourne Legacy with Tony Gilroy; Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk and Gemini Man with Ang Lee; and Mary
    Poppins Returns and The Little Mermaid with Rob Marshall.<strong><br /><br />Christian Kelley-Madera </strong>has worked as a VFX editor on both the production and vendor sides for nearly ten years. His credits include Marco Polo for Netflix, The
    Purge: Election Year for Universal, Noelle for Disney and Birds of Paradise for Amazon. His current project involves full CG character animation with dialogue. He is constantly seeking ways to make VFX editorial processes smarter, not harder. In his
    free time, he co-writes and directs a scripted fiction podcast.<br /><strong><br />Alec Styborski</strong> is a freelance assistant editor, VFX editor and editor based in New York City since 2007. He has worked on many high-profile film and television

    in a series of three in-depth conversations about the role of assistant editors and their responsibilities and workflow during the turnover process to finish a film or episode. Nice Shoes DI Finishing Artist Alex Hartley and freelance Assistant Editor
    Max Berger discussed with moderator Ben Baker, Partner at Next Gen Production, about the interaction between assistant editors and conform editors in the finishing process.</p>

    Lost Daughter, The Year of the Everlasting Storm, Couples Therapy, and Sirens.<br /><br /><strong>Max Berger</strong> is a freelance film editor, and has served as an assistant editor on several theatrically-released motion pictures. He graduated
