For decades, the TV and film industry has had a long-standing problem with diversity, equality and inclusion and whether you live and work in the UK or the USA, we’ve been riding the same storm, just different boats. But following a year of pandemic and protests, are the boats about to turn? Has the pandemic accelerated the dismantling of nepotism, discrimination and misogyny behind the scenes?

We’re bringing together experts from both sides of the pond for an open knowledge exchange to discuss what has been achieved in recents months and what work still needs to be done.

The aim of the meetup is to educate ourselves more about how the UK and New York film communities are progressing to develop a diverse culture and to help each other understand the landscape better.
