Did you know that goats work at Riverside Park? Every July, there's a celebration to welcome them to their summer duties, and you're invited to join them on their first day back. Come out and discover how they serve as full-time professional weeders, tackling tough-to-reach spots and devouring invasive plants like Porcelain Berry, English Ivy, Mugwort, Multiflora Rose, and Poison Ivy. These incredible animals not only consume 25% of their body weight in vegetation daily, but their presence also enriches the soil with nutrients.

Experience firsthand how goats offer a sustainable, chemical-free solution to invasive species management, freeing up human hands to focus on other crucial restoration tasks. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see the goats in action and learn how they contribute to a healthier, more vibrant Riverside Park.

This is a fun day out, so bring your friends & family - there will not be a trash pickup this month.
