We have been hearing a lot about the effects AI could have on the post production industry. When considering AI by itself, it is a complex and nuanced topic, one that touches every aspect of what we do - creatively, technically, financially and legally.
So, this 60th episode of PNYA Post Break is not going to do that. Instead, it will consider AI in the context of applied, present-day examples and use cases. There will be no prognosticating, speculation or doom and gloom. Instead, we will hear from our friends and colleagues about how they are actually using AI today, or choosing not to use AI at all, or in some cases being told that its use is expressly forbidden.
We’ll hear from a variety of crafts and MPEG Local 700, and will keep an eye toward the demands of editorial and VFX workflows. Takeaways will include new lenses through which to consider this topic and ideas about how we can be ready for it in our careers and our crafts right now.
