Colorists are facing larger than normal problems with the current production business environment. Production companies using more freelance colorists, changing workflows, fewer client side assistant editors being hired, leading to significantly fewer opportunities for on the job seasoning and growth. And then the consolidations and mergers, creating fears of downsizing and elimination of staff. Not to forget about the threats of AI entering the scene. Three PNYA post members talk about their experiences and what their outlook is for our future and the people they work with. We’ll hear from Evan Anthony, former staff colorist, Twain Richardson former staff colorist and Jason Saulog staff finishing editor on our panel.
