the PNYA

The Post New York Alliance (PNYA) is an association of film and television post-production facilities and labor unions operating in New York. PNYA members coalesced around the belief that a unified industry presents the post-production community with better opportunities to develop and promote public policy that benefits the film and television industry as a whole.

We have five different membership levels:

• Company Platinum Membership - for companies with 6 or more employees
• Company Gold Membership - for companies with 5 or less employees
• Technology Partner Membership - for technology companies
• Individual Membership - for freelance individuals
• Sponsored Membership - for junior-level individuals new to the TV/film industry.

Once you go through the registration process, you will be asked to pay for your membership by credit card. We strongly recommend that members pay by credit card. However, you have the option to choose to be billed.

If you pay by credit card, your membership will be reviewed and then likely approved within 2-3 business days. If you pay by check, your membership will also be reviewed within 2-3 business days. However, your membership will not be activated until the check is received and deposited. You may not attend events until payment is received. Again, we strongly recommend that everyone pay by credit card.

Your membership will be reviewed within 2-3 business days. We vet all of our members to make sure their titles are listed correctly.

We reserve titles in our membership for scripted TV, feature films, and documentaries. You should list credits that you have received on projects and listed on your IMDB/resume.

You will be listed as an individual member with your selected titles. You can select which information is private and which can be viewed by other members.

You will be listed as the company membership you qualify for. Your individual company page will also list all your services and contact information as you wish to share. We also have pages that list each service and your company if it provides said service.

Platinum company members qualify for 8 individual memberships. Technology company members qualify for 8 individual memberships. Gold company members qualify for 3 individual memberships.

You can select which information is public or private on the profile settings. Just click the little green box for public or red box for private.

You will be able to message other members within the website but you will not see their email. The message will go to their email as a notification.

We email a monthly reminder for events to all our members. We also email and/or post on our social media and Slack reminders for all events.

Yes, you do not have to be a member to post a job opening but you do have to be a member to view and apply.
