WHAT IS THE PNYA?
·        The Post New York Alliance (PNYA) is an association of film and television post production facilities and labor unions operating in New York. PNYA members coalesced around the belief that a unified industry presents the post production community better opportunity to develop and promote public policy that benefits the film and television industry as a whole.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT MEMBERSHIP LEVELS?
·
       We have four different membership levels.
       
Company Platinum Membership - for companies with 6 or more employees
        Company Gold Membership - for Companies with 5 or less employees
       
Individual Membership
- for freelance individuals
        Sponsored Membership - for junior level individuals new to the film industry. There is currently a wait-list for this level of membership.


WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP COSTS AND BENEFITS?

HOW DO I JOIN?
·        It is easy to Join. Just click on JOIN in the upper right corner of the website. Or click HERE!
·        Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select your membership level and click on CONTINUE and follow the rest of the instructions.


HOW DO I PAY?
·        Once you go through the registration process, you will be asked to pay for your membership by credit card.
·        We strongly recommend that members pay by credit card. However, you have the option to choose to be billed.
·        If you pay by credit card, your membership will be reviewed and then likely approved within 2-3 business days.
·        If you pay by check, your membership will also be reviewed within 2-3 business days. However, your membership will not be activated until the check is received and deposited. You may not attend events until payment is received. Again, we strongly recommend that everyone pay by credit card.


IS MEMBERSHIP APPROVED RIGHT AWAY?
·        Your membership will be reviewed within 2-3 business days. We vet all of our members to make sure their titles are listed correctly.

I AM AN INDIVIDUAL - WHAT CREDITS DO I SELECT FOR MYSELF?
·        Please only select the titles that you have received on projects. You may select more than one title.
·       
Please do not select titles you aspire to receive one day. We vet all of our members and check that they have received the credits they have selected. If we see you have selected a title that you have not received, we will ask you to remove it before we approve your membership.


I AM AN INDIVIDUAL - HOW WILL I BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
·        You will be listed by your name and under each title that you have selected for yourself.

I AM A COMPANY - HOW WILL I BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
·      
Your company logo will be listed on the company member home page. It will also be listed on all the post production service pages for the services you selected. For example, if you selected sound mixing, your logo will be on the page listing all NY post facilities that provide that service.

·       Once someone clicks your logo, they will be directed to your PNYA profile page.


I AM A COMPANY - WILL MY EMPLOYEES GET MEMBERSHIPS TOO?
·      
YES! Company Platinum Members are given eight employee membership with heir company membership. Company Gold Members are given three employee membership with your company membership.

WILL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
·      
NO! When you complete your personal information, you have the option to hide everything from public view. However, if you would like your email or your phone number public so anyone searching the site who is looking in your field can contact you, you may make it public.

WILL I BE ABLE TO BE EMAIL OTHER MEMBERS?
·      
YES! Once you log in, you will be able to email other members. We have an internal email system. We NEVER give out anyone's email address. If you email another member, they will receive an email from the PNYA website telling them that they have a message waiting for them. 


DO YOU HAVE A CALENDAR OF EVENTS?

·        YES! Scroll down to the bottom of any page on the website and you will see our calendar. This shows our next four events. To see all of the events currently scheduled, click on MORE for an expanded view. Please note events are constantly added to the calendar.

HOW ARE MEMBERS NOTIFIED ABOUT EVENTS?
·
        We send our emails to the entire membership when a new event is coming up.  Scroll down to the bottom of any page on the website and you will see our calendar. This shows our next four events. To see all of the events currently scheduled, click on MORE for an expanded view. Please note events are constantly added to the calendar.

DO YOU HAVE A JOB BOARD?
·        YES! Anyone visiting the PNYA website may post a job. Just scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on POST JOB. Only Members may view the actual job listings. It is a perk of membership.
